Database of Violations Against Media Freedom In Somalia/Somaliland.

Since its inception in 2019, the Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS) has been dedicated to monitoring and documenting violations against media freedom in Somalia and Somaliland. Initially conducted manually, this monitoring and documentation effort underwent a transformative shift in 2023. With the invaluable support provided by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), SJS established the first-ever database dedicated to documenting violations against media freedom in the region.
